Roxy Neufeld
Trek, Peru Team

January 28, 2008

Dear Friends,

Gracias a Dios por todo que El ha hecho!-- (I thank the Lord for everything he has done). This is the language I will be hearing during my 3 ∏ month missions trip starting in March, after I finish my Trek training.  On Wednesday we found out what team we are going to be on and I was chosen to be a part of the Peru team!!  I am very excited and I feel like I’m going exactly where God wants me!  I have a wonderful team, five girls (including myself) and one guy.

I am now nearing the end of my third week of training.  It has been a time of growth, learning, challenges, and relationship building.  It has also been a lot of fun!  The place we are staying is called the Mark Centre, it is a beautiful place to stay and a wonderful place to be able to meet with God!  There are 12 Trekkers here, 11 girls and 1 guy. The six other people will be on a team going to Japan.  A regular week here includes: sessions, work duties, reading time, worship, Bible studies, meal times, some free time, and many other things.  We also have a half hour every morning for Bible memorization time.  Every Tuesday night we can go to Vespers, a time of worship at Columbia Bible College.  This is my first experience having roommates for an extended amount of time and it is really fun.  We are getting to know each other really well!

I want to thank you all for your prayers and support.  I feel truly blessed to have so many people praying for me!  If you could pray that everyone on both teams has a peace about where we are going, that would be really great!  I also have almost reached my goal for support and I am truly blessed by that!

I will keep you posted in how I am doing, and if you would like to contact me my email is: roxyneufeld@hotmail.com

Sincerely,
